We have been invited to give a keynote speech in the International Virus Bioinformatics Meeting (IVBM) 2020, Bern, Switzerland. IVBM 2020 is jointly organized by the European Virus Bioinformatics Center, the University of Bern and the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics.

It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in this unique conference focussing on bioinformatics approaches in virology. IVBM 2020 will offer a great possibility to exchange the latest research results and experiences to an extensive network of leading experts in virology and bioinformatics and engage in inspiring discussions. We welcome any contributions within this cross-disciplinary field. Sub-topics include (but are not limited to): Systems virology; virus-host interactions; virus classification and evolution; epidemiology and surveillance; viral metagenomics and ecology; as well as clinical bioinformatics.

IVBM 2020 is jointly organized by the European Virus Bioinformatics Center, the University of Bern and the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics. The possibility for registration, as well as the submission of abstracts, will be available online starting autumn 2019. Participation is limited to the first 120 registrations. Prof. Tulio de Oliveira from KRISP will be one of the keynote speakers
