In response to this, KRISP took the opportunity to launch its Wellness Campaign at the end of November, with a help of a wellness brochure and dedicated web page for its staff and students. This was necessary because the people who make up the KRISP family are its biggest asset and it is only through happy, healthy and committed people that we can fully achieve KRISP's vision.
The brochure provides advice on how to live your best life, recognise the early warning signs of issues such as burnout and depression, strike a healthy balance between work and play and get the most out of the facilities and opportunities around you; not only within KRISP and UKZN, but also within the greater Durban area. The beautiful city and province we live in has so much to offer in terms of activities and the space to experience a high quality of life.
Paying attention to our health and wellness allow us to unlock our true potential, to optimise our talents and function at the highest capacity possible. Take a moment over the holiday period to assess just how many balls you may be juggling and think about ways in which you can strike a better balance in the new year.
