UKZN's Professor Tulio de Oliveira talks Covid-19 to East Coast Radio Breakfast Show


UKZN's Professor Tulio de Oliveira is a bioinformatician from the KwaZulu-Natal's Research, Innovation and Sequencing Platform (KRISP) faculty - and he spoke to us this morning.

KwaZulu-Natal's Research, Innovation and Sequencing Platform (KRISP) and the Big Data Flagship Program of the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) has a multi-disciplinary team of world-renowned experts who mainly focus on analysis and control of viral outbreaks and genomic analysis.

Professor Tulio de Oliveira gave us a quick insight into the work KRISP has been doing and how are they working as frontline warriors to curb the spread of Covid-19.

He also touched on the South African infection rate, death rate, and recoveries, as well as KZN statistics.
